FS-Pipe is a program module
that interfaces with FS2000 to provide design checks in accordance with following
national pipework design codes of practice.
- ANSI B31.1 Power Code
- ANSI B31.3 Chemical & Transport Code
- ANSI B31.4 Liquid Pet & Dist Systems
- ANSI B31.8 Gas Trans & Dist Systems
- DNV Marine Risers & Pipelines
- BS 8010 Marine Riser & Pipelines
Flexibility Analysis
Pipework systems can be analysed with any of the
FS2000 analysis modules including the non-linear options. Special provision
of pipe flexibility analysis are provided,
- Flexibility Factors - Effect of pressure on bend included.
- In/Out-Plane Stress Intensity Factors - These factors are evaluated
for bends, mitres, tees and all connection types defined in the ASME codes.
- Temperature Dependent - Element stiffness properties based
on respective temperature or base cold condition. i.e. load case dependent.
Material
Properties
Pipe material data may be directly entered or called
from user define libraries. Properties can be defined as a function of temperature
- Direct Data Entry
- User Defined Library
- Temperature Dependent Properties
- Corrosion Allowance
- Mill Tolerance
Load Data
Load cases are standard and can include all loading
types associated with within FS2000 including load generators.
- Pipe Contents Density
- Insulation Thickness & Density
- Pipe Lining Thickness & Density
- Axial & Flexural Thermal Loading
Selective Output
- Graphical - Unity Ratio Plots Selective plots - Individual
& Multiple Results
- Sorted Summary - By Label Range or Criticality Rating
- Restricted Output - Limit Output to Defined Criticality Limit
(UR threshold)
- Actual/Allowable or Summary Actual/Allowable
Output may be by element label, element grouping
or by loading criticality. Selective colour plots enable critical elements to
be easily identified or grouped for output processing.
